Our Mission & Core Values

Living for God
&
Living for People

KNOW

“Presence”
Knowing Jesus
At GT, we desire to create spaces in our living and practices where people can have a genuine encounter with Jesus. We place a high value on hosting the presence of God and the moving of the Holy Spirit in our worship gatherings, ministries, and daily lives. We believe encounters with Jesus can transform even the hardest hearts and most broken souls, bringing new life and allowing us and others to discover what it means to become a new creation.

Simply put, we want to know Jesus
and help others come to know Jesus.

GROW

“Formation”
Growing In the Way of Jesus
We are all in the process of constant formation. At GT, we strive to extend Jesus’ call to learn His ways and rhythms. We desire to allow Him to shape our formation into a people who are deeply rooted, counter-cultural hope bearers, while living in the midst of a broken and hopeless world.

Simply put, we want to grow in being formed by the Way of Jesus and help disciple others in being formed by the Way of Jesus.

GO

“Mission”
Go And do what Jesus did
By following the Way of Jesus, we participate in His mission to make disciples who then make disciples in order to help our communities be made new. The mystery of God’s grace is that He doesn’t need us, yet, He invites us into His grand story of redemption as co-labourers, building His Kingdom, and accomplishing His purposes in our homes, campuses, workplaces, and communities, as it is in Heaven.

Simply put, we want to go out on mission to our communities while helping others to be trained and sent out on mission as well.

The Great Commandment - Matthew 22:36-40

"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?”
‍And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart
and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.
And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.

The Great Invitation - Matthew 11:28-30

“ Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me,
for I am gentle and lowly in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy,
and my burden is light."

The Great Commission - Matthew 28:18-20

And Jesus came and said to them,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them inthe name of the Father
and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
