Three New Board Members

Cathy Munge

I accepted Christ as my Saviour when I was in High school and have continued to see His Transforming Power at work in my life. My husband Simon, and I, have the awesome privilege of raising 3 children and have been members of GT for over 8 years.  During this time, I served in the Greeters Ministry and Library and now focused on Women Connect – Mentoring Program.

Professionally, am a Director for a Global Consulting firm helping our clients in their Digital Transformation journey mainly focusing on Robotics and AI.  I also serve on the Board of SOS Children’s Villages Canada.

Am passionate about Discipleship, Leadership development and Community Outreach.  I know God has great plans for our Church and Community and look forward to supporting GT.

Thomas Hamilton Jr.

For the last 32 years, I've called Glad Tidings my home church. During that time, I've had the great privilege of serving as a bandleader and musician, a small group leader, a coach for young members, planning strategic initiatives, and I have even been known to help cook hamburgers. Being born, raised, and baptized at this church has been an incredible gift from God.

Professionally, I am the Director of E-commerce and Marketing, managing nationwide digital marketing campaigns designing complex eCommerce websites, and building customer service teams for a national Baby Brand, solving challenging problems by integrating multiple disciplines and building well-connected and productive teams.

On a personal note, I'm a husband to my wonderful wife, Olivia, who serves in the children's ministry and many areas around the church and father to my young son Cole with another baby due in July. I love fitness, playing guitar, reading theology and philosophy, watching movies with my family, and anything that forces me to learn a new skill! Extending my service to the church as a board member is a true honour.

Mac Carmichael

The wonderful journey that God has me on started when I came to know Jesus as Saviour and Friend during the latter stages of high school. Ever since, I've been reminded that God is constantly refining me and that there is still more abundant life to be had. I’m not perfect, and I'm trying to be obedient.

Our family (my wife Christine + our children Noah, Naomi and Nigel) have attended GT since 2010. I have previously served as a Glad Tidings Board Member for two terms, including as Secretary and as a part of the Pastoral Search Committee.

My involvement over the years includes Lead Young and Flipside Jr. High ministries, men’s retreat, and Kid’s Praise while Christine serves in the special needs and nursery ministries. Professionally, I have been charged with senior sustainability and environmental risk management at a national construction and construction materials company. We are thankful for the faithfulness God has shown our family and the privilege we have to be members and serve alongside our brothers and sisters at Glad Tidings.

How we serve our local and global communities, develop disciples of Jesus, and grow together is key to how Glad Tidings can help shine God's light into our complex world.
