I am forever grateful for godly Christian parents. I grew up in the UK where my father was a Pastor. He was also a Missionary-Evangelist in Eastern Europe both before and after the fall of communism.
My parents demonstrated to my siblings and I how to live for Christ.
I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour at the age of 4, and He has never left me.
When I was 17, I went to Glasgow University to study Speech-Language Pathology. I saw other Christian students who were living away from home for the first time fall away from their faith, but I thank God for His keeping power.
Two years after graduation I immigrated by myself to Canada. Shortly after, I met Bruce and we married in 1986. After a series of moves, we came to Burlington with our 2 children and 24 years ago we made Glad Tidings our church home. Over the years, I have served in various ways at GT, including teaching Sunday School, serving on the Alpha lead team and serving in the Cafe. I have been on 4 Missions trips to China and hosted 2 groups of Chinese students in Burlington for language, culture and evangelism.
Recently retired, I am looking forward to serving Jesus more.
When I was told I had been nominated for election to the Board, I prayerfully took a step of obedience to let my name stand. I would be honoured to serve Glad Tidings as a Board member if it is His will.
