Character / Image I "Mighty Meek" I Sunday, October 18, 2020
Veranda or porch? Parcel or package? Sofa, couch or chesterfield? Words come and go in popularity and usage varies by region, but when was the last time you heard someone talk about meekness? It isn’t a word our society uses very much, in fact, it’s not a character quality that seems very desirable to aspire to – no one tells their kids to “Go out there and be…meek”, but meekness might be a highly underrated quality as we'll see as Pastor Jeremy continues our series, "Character Over Image".

Character / Image I "I am Humble" I Sunday, October 4, 2020
Have you ever modified your behaviour, edited your words or shaped your image based on who was around and how you wanted to be viewed or liked? We all have! We’ve all portrayed images of ourselves to others that, if we’re honest, we hope they’ll like and that they’ll approve of – we call it "putting our best foot forward"...but when have we gone too far? We kick off this new series by recognizing that in an image conscious culture, we are called to be character conscious christians. We’re called to pursue CHARACTER OVER IMAGE.
Authentic Christianity I "Over and Over Again" I Sunday, September 20, 2020
Grace - it refreshes those to whom it's shown and renews those by whom it's given. It is core to the character of God and ought to be a key attribute of Christ followers. In this message Pastor Steve continues our series "Authentic Christianity" by examining Paul's challenge to Philemon to walk in grace, even in challenging circumstances.
Authentic Christianity I "The Right Thing" I Sunday, September 13, 2020
It’s not hard to recognize there is a crisis of character in our culture; right & wrong have become seemingly relative without a clear community standard or collective consensus on what our ethic should be. The lack of principles seems to routinely be the fuel for the events that feed the daily news. It's hard sometimes not to question people's motives or assume they're not self-seeking. It's into this environment that the church has an opportunity to be a refreshing presence when it lives out AUTHENTIC CHRISTIANITY.
Meta:For Part 9 I "We Family" I Pastor Kevin Farewell
Our Summer sermon series comes to a close as we examine the last of our biblical metaphors; "family". Whatever imagery that conjures up in our minds in relation to how we were raised, the Bible paints a wonderful picture of people, with all their different personalities, preferences and tastes, united around a common cause with a common purpose, loving one another and caring for each other in spite of it all. We are the family of God. In this service we'll also conclude our farewell celebration of Pastor Kevin as he gives his final words of encouragement as our Lead Pastor. We'd love to hear from you!
