Glad Tidings’ Mission Team is thrilled to announce that we have three unique short-term mission trips planned this year: one to Northern Ontario and two to Latin America (details on next page).
We are looking forward to see what God is going to do in, and through the lives of every team member who engages in mission this year! If God is stirring your heart to get involved in mission, please give me a call!!
The Deadline to apply has been extended to March 4th!
For the last five years, we have partnered with Pastor Keith Neal and his church, Evangel Tabernacle, in Matheson, ON. Each year, we have seen our relationships in the community grow deeper as we run a week long sports camp for kids and then host a family fun day carnival for the community! This year, we will be sending a team of 24, made up of youth and young adults. We are excited to be hosting the Family Fun Day, on Canada Day, in downtown Matheson. Additionally, this year we’re doing what we are calling a “Northern Tour”. This tour will allow us to partner with a few local churches and help them host a carnival and serve their community!
In July, we will be sending a team to Ecuador in partnership with our friends from Emmanuel Church in Peru. Pastor Kevin and Pastor Saul of Emmanuel became friends a couple of years ago, and we have experienced amazing blessings as a result of this partnership! Our teams will spend the week in Cuenca, Ecuador doing street ministry and evangelism.
In September, we will be sending a team to serve with our global workers John & Audrey Van Belle in El Salvador. John & Audrey arrived in El Salvador in July 2015 and have been working with King's Castle Ministries. John oversees the construction projects, along with construction teams. Audrey works in the pharmacy at the onsite Medical Clinic and organizes the medical teams that come to work in the rural areas. As they continue to do hands-on ministry, they are reaching the local community with the love of Jesus Christ. Our team will work alongside them to help where there is need.
